Jake has provided the word close-up for inspiration for our Sunday Post.
You already know that nature is always close to my heart, so here goes...
And now for the close-up:
You already know that nature is always close to my heart, so here goes...
A beautiful stream somewhere in the Algarve, on a hot summer's day. |
Rocks surrounded by cool, clear water! |
For those who know the Algarve, can you guess where I took these photos? Let me give you a hint - it's another Algarve gem, but probably much less well-known than this one.

Monchique?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place...the water is so clear.
Hi, good try but no, it isn't Monchique. I wonder if anyone will guess before I do the full post.
DeleteBeautiful place you have there Mara , Thanks for sharing your inspiration for this week theme :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jake,
DeleteI will be doing a larger post on this gem of a place soon.
a scenic, inviting pic
ReplyDeleteThank you. In the heat we're having that lovely water just calls out to you.
DeletePeace and tranquility :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, unless too many people decide to vist at the same time! Then it can get a bit crowded and noisy.
DeleteLovely pictures! Especially tht first one, so peaceful & tranquil.
ReplyDeleteHello, nice to see you here. If you liked these pics, come back soon to see more.
DeleteI'm envious that you found a stream with water in it at this time of the year, the river in Alte is hardly flowing. Thank you for the lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'll tell you more about this place soon.
DeleteNow firstly lets address the 'winter' statement over at Jake's - not nice at all...hehehehe...my feet are freezing...just went outside to take some water drop shots in bare feet in winter...really dumb idea !!! But these are beautiful Mara...really beautiful
ReplyDeleteHehehehe, I did feel a guilty pleasure when mentioning winter, as it's snowing even in S. Africa! In the Algarve we had 40degrees C on Friday. I'm in the north and it's much cooler, with the met office promising rain for tomorrow!
DeleteThose pictures are calling to me to come put my feet in the oh-so refreshing water.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist either!
DeleteNot so tranquil when the Wedding Ceremony comes to town? I had a lovely time there for the Folklore Festival in May.
ReplyDeleteHi, Jo,
DeleteAre you guessing that this is Alte?
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say thanks for visiting my blog and following. You have beautiful pictures here. Since I have never heard of the Algarve, I'll be looking it up as soon as I leave here. :)
