Blossom

Pink almond blossom
Blossom is the theme for this week's Sunday post challenge on Jake's blog.

Most almond trees in my area have whitish blossom but I did find some pink almond blossom. And no, I didn't fiddle with the colours on Picasa!

White almond blossom

The almond blossom quickly gave way to foliage and little almonds that resemble small peaches.

At the moment it is the citrus trees here that are covered in white blossoms.

Tangerine blossom
Around my house there is one enormous orange tree, two tangerine trees and a small lemon tree, all releasing heavenly scent into the air.

I wish it was slightly warmer so I could open the windows and invite the fragrance into the house.

  2. You have so much blossom on your tangerine tree!
I am over the moon if I have a few flowers on our lime and lemon tree. If I ever get that much blossom I'd be in orbit!

    1. It looks like snow on that tree, doesn't it? Well, I can't explain it. The tree was here when I bought the house and it has never been like this!
In contrast, my small lemon tree has ONE blossom only.
